WHAT'S POSSIBLE WITH A DIFFERENT KIND OF INTELLIGENCE?

The way we create is changing. I explore what that means in practice. With an MSc in Applied Machine Learning for Creative Industries, I bring design thinking and creative ingenuity to technical challenges. My work spans computer vision, generative AI and interactive experiences, with a particular interest in how these technologies can be applied to film and editing.

AI entered the chat.

I've been experimenting with ways to integrate AI into my editing workflow, correcting and enhancing footage, manipulating environments and developing visuals that might otherwise be out of reach on smaller budgets. I'm interested in using these tools responsibly, extending what's creatively possible without losing the human decisions behind the work.

Upscaling.

Enhance footage resolution and detail, including upscaling 1080p footage to 4K.

Project description

Conceptualised, directed and edited by Shani O'Mallo, this music video combines AI-assisted techniques with traditional editing and compositing in Adobe Premiere Pro. Relighting, upscaling and background replacement were used throughout, alongside a claymation-style storyline developed from initial character concepts through to animation.
